WT Editorial, Sunflower Publishing
Services, and their clients make regular use of documents prepared with
Microsfot Word and Microsoft Excel. In order for
independent contractors to effectively perform editorial services, they
must own Microsoft Word and Microsfot Excel.
Independent contractors
will also need Adobe Reader to view files saved as PDFs (portable
document format). Adobe Reader can be obtained for free from Adobe.
PDFs can also be viewed using Adobe Acrobat.

Editors should be familiar with Microsoft Word's Track Changes function
that allows electronic editing. Editors selected to edit production
passes should also be familiar with editing electronically using either
Adobe Acrobat or the newest versions of Adobe Reader.
