Freelance English to Spanish Translators

We have an ongoing need for freelance translators to translate educational materials from English to Spanish. Backgrounds in one or more of the following content areas is a plus: language arts/English/literature/reading, math, science, or social studies/history.

Educational publishing experience is preferred, but not necessarily required. Projects could relate to any of the content areas listed above and could apply to any preschool-12 grade level.

Suitable applicants will be detail oriented and will have strong grammar and spelling skills (in both Spanish and English). Suitable applicants will also have the ability to maintain client guidelines and style in the translation. Applicants should also be able to maintain the original voice and tone of the materials while simultaneously insuring accuracy.

In addition to outstanding translating skills, WT Editorial and Sunflower Publishing Services are also looking for reliable and conscientious independent contractors who possess the following qualities and characteristics:

the ability to work independently from a remote location
the ability to manage one's time effectively and efficiently
the ability to meet scheduled deadlines
a willingness to read and understand guidelines and other client materials

Notes:

Translators may be asked to take a translating test before beginning work on a project.
Workers hired for this position will be considered independent contractors.
This job will be performed offsite.
