Freelance Project and Editorial ManagersPosted date: Aug-20-2008

We have an ongoing need for freelance project and editorial managers with backgrounds in the following content areas: language arts/English/literature/reading, math, science, or social studies/history. Prior educational publishing experience is preferred, but not necessarily required if the applicant possesses project management experience and a strong background in one or more of the above listed content areas. Projects could relate to any of the content areas listed above and could apply to any preschool-12 grade level. Editorial and project managers will be responsible for organizing and tracking a specific portion of a project (ie., a grade level) and for communicating with staff and other freelancers. Suitable applicants will have strong organizational skills and will be detail oriented. Suitable applicants will also have the ability to develop an in-depth understanding of client guidelines, style, and needs and will be able to communicate that understanding to other freelancers assigned to the project. In addition to outstanding interpersonal skills and a strong background in one or more of the listed content areas, WT Editorial and Sunflower Publishing Services are also looking for reliable and conscientious independent contractors who possess the following qualities and characteristics:
